Japanese and World War II
After a Japanese attack people thought that Japan would attack again. After that the milliatairy ordered everyone who had even a little Japanese in them had to leave. They didn’t care if they were born in America. Even if any of their ancestors were Japanese and they weren’t that much they still had to leave. They had to go to a camp and at the camp there were machine gunners and barbwire at the top of the fences to make sure they wouldn’t escape. They had to get to most camps by train.
At the camps they gave everyone over 17 a test. Everyone over 17 had to answer. Some questions people thought were crazy to ask. One was to see if they wanted to enter the U.S army. They had to answer a simple yes or no nothing else was acceptable. Another question was that if they were willing to forswear the loyalty to the Japanese emperor. Some people didn’t even live in Japan at any point in their life. So the majority said yes and the rest said no.
